Poetry

Railway Town was largely written whilst still at St Andrews University and completed during his first stint at Oxford.

It is also known as 'The Carlisle Poem'.

Summer, 1967 was written as a tribute to the author's late cousin, Ken Snailham, a racing engineer and former RAC Hill Climb Champion. Ken passed away in 2016. The poem was written at Killin, Perthshire during the Winter of 2016.

'Mike' has also written a number of ditties and shorter poems; some of these are here:

Four poems, Posh Dust, Old Man Time, Northern Nights, and Castle Owl will be featured in Mike's novel, Posh Dust, when completed.
