Having written an 84 page 'crime story' when aged 10, he had the idea of writing The Cambridge Mysteries series after chatting with Inspector Morse author, Colin Dexter, at a writers’ event in London. His other favourite writers include P.D. James and Mike Ripley.
Mike's partly autobiographical novel, entitled Posh Dust, is currently being written. The novel will feature four poems; Posh Dust, Old Man Time, Northern Nights, and Castle Owl.
